Guy Calvin Bost

Mr. Guy Calvin Bost 81 of Kannapolis, passed away on May 9, 2012 at Alston Brook in Lexington. Born on April 19, 1931 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ivy Sifford Bost. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Mr. Bost was an active member of Rogers Park Reformed Church, where he was the church superintendent, Deacon and active in the youth department. He was a carpenter, working earlier in life for D.C. Linn Construction and later for R. M. Efird Construction. He enjoyed going to the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ray and Brown Bost.

Those left to cherish his memories is his wife of 61 years, Zanie Waller Bost, sons Gene Bost (Myra) of Kannapolis and Randy Bost (Sandra) of Mocksville. He also was survived by a brother Hugh Bost (Peggy) of Rockwell and a sister Beatrice Herring of Rimertown. Mr Bost had 5 grandchidren, Chad, Ryan and Alan Bost, Amber Allen and Amy Kimmer, and 2 great grandchildren, Memphis and Adam.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 til 3:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove and service at 3:00 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
