

Salisbury-Harry"Junior" Columbus Troutman, Jr., 68, beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Friday evening, March 29, 2013,With his family by his side, at Presbyterian Hospital, after a brave struggle with health issues. Born October 16, 1944 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Harry Troutman, Sr. and Helen Kluttz Troutman. A 1964 graduate of East Rowan High, Harry had honorably served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam Era, where he had earned service distinction with the 4th Infantry Division. Harry had worked the family farm most of his life and had also worked in the construction and estate auction businesses. Known to many as "Junior", he was an active life member of VFW 9134 in Rockwell, Vietnam Veterans of America, Concord, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 27 the Rowan Veterans Association, AMVETS. Junior was a retired volunteer life member of Bostian Heights Fire Department, where he loved working with their fundraisers and BBQ benefits. He also enjoyed fishing in the NC Outer Banks.
Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Ann Anthony Troutman; his three sisters, Dr. Kay Brawley and husband, John Hakemian, of Ponce Inlet, FL and Havre de Grace, MD, Carol Ludwick and husband, John, of Woodleaf and Jackie Griffiths and husband, Jimmy, of Norfolk, VA; his mother-in-law, Mary Anthony, brother-in-law, Marshall, Jr. both of Gold Hill, sister-in-law, Wanda Anthony of Rockwell, nieces and nephews, DavaLyn Snider, of Md, Michelle Stafford and Daniel Ludwick of NC, and Christian and Jesse Anthony, Mike, CJ and Alicia (deceased) and Sienerth, grandnephews and nieces Gavin and Peyton Snider of Md. Cory Stafford and Brittney Daniels, Gage and Taylor Sienerth, Layla Ingram plus 6 great grandnephews and niece of NC.
Family will recieve friends Monday evening April 1, 2013 from 6-8 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Harry Jr's celebration of life funeral service will be on Tuesday April 2,2013 at 10:00 am conducted by Rev. Harold Bumby and Bruce Sheeks. Burial will follow at 12 noon at Salisbury National Cemetery with military rights by RC and NC Honor Guards. Memorials may be made to Bostian Heights Fire Department 8211 Old Concord Rd.
