

Born in Cabarrus County on September 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John Cowan Moore and Mary Pauline Broadway Moore.
In addition to her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hood.
Sue graduated from Winecoff High School – Class of 1961, where she was a member of the Beta Club. She married her sweetheart, Chris Wagner and together they have shared 62 years of marriage.
She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church and worked as a Teaching Assistant and Reading Tutor with Rowan-Salisbury Schools, primarily at Cleveland Elementary School.
Sue enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, fishing, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chris Wagner; daughter, Annette (Mike) Gurley and son, Mark (Tiffani) Wagner.
She is further survived by her grandchildren, Krista (Derick) Hardin, Anna Hipp, Addison Wagner, Harrison Wagner and Bennett Wagner; and her great-grandchildren, Brantley Perrell, Blake Towell, Kyndall Therrien, Blaine Hardin, Jace Outen, Tate Hardin and Zayden Hardin.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM -4:00 PM in the fellowship hall of Unity Presbyterian Church (885 Woodleaf Barber Rd, Cleveland, NC).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 4:00 PM with Col. (R) Tommy Steele officiating. The family will hold a private graveside service.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Sue’s memory to Unity Presbyterian Church or to Novant Health Hospice (1229 Statesville Blvd Salisbury, NC 28144).
