Born on August 22, 1942 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Hobart and Lillie Cline Lipe. A graduate of Landis High School, she was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the nursery and secretary for the church council for many years . Earlier in life, she worked for Landis High School, Cabarrus Construction and Carolina Interiors, from where she retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Herman, Bill, Ray, Gene, Ross, and Max Lipe and sisters Mable Seagraves, Marie Felker and Willene Leffler. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, Eugene Caldwell Gordon, brother Ronnie Lipe (Priscilla) of China Grove, sisters in law; Bennie Lipe of Burlington, Shirley Lipe and Fannie Lipe both of China Grove.
Visitation will be on Monday from 1:30 til 3:30 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church with funeral at 3:30 also at the church with Rev. Bob Young, minister. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is sering the Gordon Family.
