Kathryn Novella Martin

Mrs. Kathryn Novella Martin, age 84 of China Grove, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 3, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born on August 9, 1936 in Davidson County, Novella was the daughter of the late Avry Wright Lackey and Ruby Hoyle Alley. Her daughter, Debbie Denise Isenhour, brothers, Haskell, Kenneth and Jimmy Lackey and sisters Loreen and Moleen Lackey all preceded her in death.

Novella spent her career as a homemaker, a job she treasured- caring for her family. She loved baking and was well known for her famous pound cakes. One of her most cherished hobbies was collecting "knick knacks". Novella loved listening to music, watching her soap operas and she loved flowers, as long as someone else planted them for her enjoyment. But most of all, she loved her family and spending that special time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Leonard Martin of the home; her sons Ronnie Isenhour (Robin) and Randy Martin (Glenda) along with her special niece Lisa I. Thomas (Joseph). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Martin home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.linn-honeycutt.com. Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Martin.
