Linda Bracey Pearce

Linda Bracey Pearce 74 of China Grove passed away peacefully at the Brookdale Memory Care in Concord NC surrounded by her family after a several year battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Louise Bracey of Rowland, NC. Linda is survived by her four daughters and nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Lee Anne (Paul) West, of Winston Salem , Julie (Mark) Haynes of Harrisburg, Melanie (Jerry) Morton of Faith, Lara (Scott) Smith of Landis. Grandchildren Jacob, Makenzie and Spencer West, Taylor, Morgan and Sydney Haynes, Madison and Trevor Gobble, Owen Smith and Great grandchild Mallory McIlwain. Also surviving her are her aunt Agnes Burney Wheeler of Garner NC and several close cousins, Suzanne Burriss, Sharon Burney, Jackie Muse, Henry Wheeler, Anne Fowler and David Wheeler.

Linda worked in the Rowan County School Food Services for over Twenty five years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kannapolis. She loved the beach and enjoyed shagging to beach music. She loved going shopping and would always come home with a pocket book or a pair of shoes. She loved animals especially cats and dogs. Her favorite sports team was the Carolina Panthers. She had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.

Visitation will be on Saturday January 27, 2018 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove from 12:00 till 2:00 with funeral to follow at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Cabanis, minister. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of daughter Lara and Scott Smith.
