MaKaiya was born in Cabarrus county on April 12, 2022 to Keyo Demetreous Melton and Julianna Grace Hamby. Sweet MaKaiya passed away in her mommy's arms surrounded by family on Saturday April 16, 2022 at Levine's Children's hospital in Charlotte, NC.
MaKaiya is survived by, Her mother and father Julianna & Keyo Melton , Her Mimi and grandpa Candyce and Benji Hamby, Her grandmother Donna Cline, Great Grandmother Sarah Melton , Great grandfather & grandmother Timothy & Crystal Bowles, and plenty of Aunt's, Uncles and Cousins who loved her dearly.
MaKaiya was preceded in death by her Mimaw Shirley Hamby, Her Papi Larry Hamby, Her Papa Shane Reyn Wilson and her uncles William John Olsen (Billy) and Barry (Rann) Hamby.
Services for MaKaiya will be Wednesday May 4th at Risen Life Church 623 N. Juniper Ave Kannapolis 28081 at 3:00 pm.
