

Born in Cabarrus County on November 15, 1955, he was the son of the late William Alan Simmons and Eva Ruth Beaver Simmons.
Tommy was a hard-working man, who had worked from Johnson’s Concrete Company for 26 years. His hobby was his hotrods.
In addition to his parents, Tommy was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Simmons, Jessie Simmons, Gene Simmons and Ronald Simmons, and his sister, Mary Pierce.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patsy Kimrey; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Derek McDonald; brother, Donald Simmons and three grandchildren, Felica Cagle, Liberty McDonald and Finley McDonald.
Tommy is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
