Arcadio Montaño Garcia

July 15, 1948 – June 29, 2026

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in law, brother, uncle, and friend, Arcadio Montaño Garcia.

Born on July 15, 1948, in Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico, Arcadio lived a life defined by faith, hard work, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family. The values he learned growing up shaped the remarkable man he became and the legacy he leaves behind.

At a young age, he started working to provide for his younger siblings to help his Mother make ends meet. He migrated to Tijuana where he saw a lot of hardship and poverty. He knew he had to figure out a way to make it to the United States to try to make more money. He found work at a car wash and as a butcher. He later went on to open a restaurant with his Wife Paula. They worked tirelessly and eventually opted for more time with their children and closing their restaurant. Arcadio loved to cook, his passion for cooking was infectious he would love to share recipes and teach others his skills.

Arcadio shared a beautiful marriage of 47 years with the love of his life, Paula Garcia. Together they built a home filled with love, resilience, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, commitment and partnership through every season of life.

Anyone who knew Arcadio knew a man of incredible strength, determination, and unwavering work ethic. He believed that no honest job was beneath him if it meant providing for the people he loved. Throughout his life, he bought and sold cars, worked as a mechanic, sold goods at the swap meet, collected and recycled cans, performed construction and labor work, and took on any honest work he could find to make ends meet. Every sacrifice he made was driven by his deep love and commitment to his family.

Despite the long hours and hard work, Arcadio always found joy in the simple things. He loved cooking for his family, sharing stories, playing his music loud, offering advice, and spending time with the people he loved most. His strength, generosity, and selfless spirit will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was the proud father of Arcadio, Norma, Angelica, Junior, Enrique, Rosy, and Chuy. To his children, he was far more than a father—he was their protector, teacher, provider, and greatest source of strength. He led by example, teaching the importance of honesty, perseverance, and hard work.

Arcadio’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving grandfather to Karina Garcia, Emiliano Garcia, Xochitl Garcia, Arcadio Garcia Jr., Ralph Gomez, Valerie Gomez, Steven Gomez, Daniel Gomez, Nicolas Gomez, David Beam, Gabriella Mora, Lilliana Hayden, Pirscilla Garcia, Brittanee Garcia, Enrique Garcia Jr., Aniya Garcia, Adrien Garcia, Andrea Servin, Jose Servin, and Roman Servin. He was also blessed with beloved great-grandchildren: Stefan Najera, Adelina Gomez, Andrew Gomez, Aidyn Gomez, Viviana Serrano, John Gomez, and Steven Gomez, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride.

Anyone who knew Arcadio knew a man of strength and courage. He worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved and found his greatest happiness in providing for his family and cooking. Whether sharing stories, playing his loud music, offering advice, or simply enjoying time with those he loved.

Although our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind. His legacy lives on through his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.

Arcadio’s life was a beautiful example of love, sacrifice, strength, and devotion to family. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was—a husband, a father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and the heart of his family.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
