Carlos Hernandez Quijada

Heaven is hearing a new loud, baritone laugh. Carlos H. Quijada, 81, of La Puente, entered our heavenly Father’s embrace in the early hours of January 8, 2013 , peacefully and unexpectedly. He was born to Salvador R. Quijada and Elvira Hernandez on November 14, 1931 in El Paso, Texas. Carlos lived in La Puente for 35 years prior to moving to Chino Hills, where he resided for the last 14 years. He was a truck driver for Teamster Local 986 for 60 years, prior to his retirement on November 14, 1996. Carlos was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills. He is survived by his wife Guadalupe Quijada; sons Sal, Ben, Lou, and Jose; daughters Gerrie Romero, Martha Quijada Yepez and sister Maria Limas. Carlos is also survived by grandchildren Richard Romero, Christina Quijada Paez, Louie Quijada Jr, Joseph Britt, Eric Yepez, Anthony Carlos Yepez, Lovely Quijada, Lilionni Quijada, Manny Quijada, Mya Quijada, Mikey Quijada, Ashley Tate Quijada, Michelle Tate Quijada and Monique Quijada; and great-grandchildren Albert Paez, Ariana Paez and Carlee Paez. What he taught us about love, family, and friendship will never die. Hasta que nos volvamos . (or Until we meet again).
