

Carmen Salamanca, 69 of Chino, Ca. died June 21, 2011 at Kindred Hospital of Ontario. Born March 29, 1942 in Boyle Heights, California, she was daughter of Altagracia Rodriguez of Mexico and Guadalupe Jimenez of Mexico. She was the loving wife of Lazaro Salamanca whom she married on September 14, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by her children; Laura Salamanca, Denise Flores, and Lupita Salamanca all of chino, as well as her grandchildren; Granddaughters; Candace Salamanca, Morgan Ayala, Grandsons; Ray Salamanca, Nathaniel Salamanca, Jordan Salamanca, and John Flores. Carmen attended Huntington Park High School in California. She began her career as a Preschool Teacher at Southgate First Christian Church and ended her 45 years as a preschool teacher at the Family Resource Ministries. She enjoyed being around children, time with family, walks on the beach, listening to her oldies but goodies music, watching scary movies and traveling. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and is loved by all! Visitation will be held at FDA Pierce Brothers Griffith, Sunday, June 26, 2011 4-8pm with Vigil at 5pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St Margaret Mary, Monday, June 27, 2011, 11:00am. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery, Ontario. Funeraria Del Angel Pierce Bros Griffith, Chino, in charge of arrangements.
