He was born to parents Marcelino and Irene Yamas, on January 5, 1952 in Pomona, CA and was a lifelong resident of Chino.
Danny is survived by his sons Danny Yamas Jr and wife Erika, Michael A. Yamas and wife Gina, his daughters Marlene Yamas and partner Johnny, Andrea Yamas-Alonzo and husband Lawrence, his grandchildren Jonathan Yamas, Alexis Yamas, Kristyn Yamas, Christopher Alonzo, Arabella Alonzo, Breanna Alonzo, Abigail Yamas, and Marissa Alonzo, brothers Richard, Paul, George Yamas and Sister Marcella Herrera and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Danny was a very humble, gracious and simple man who valued the importance of family especially his children and grandchildren. Danny was also known for his love of sports and enjoyed watching Boxing, his Raiders and his boys in blue, Dodgers. He also loved listening to his favorite tunes such as the Beatles, CCR and definitely his Oldies while enjoying his drink of choice, his favorite Budweiser. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.
A rosary for Danny will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5048 D St., Chino, CA 91710. A visitation will occur Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM, 5048 D St., Chino, CA 91710. A burial will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 444 E Lexington Ave., Pomona, CA 91766. A reception will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 at American Legion, 13759 Central Ave., Chino, CA 91710 followed by burial.
