We are heartbroken to share that Jose “Chuy” Alaniz, a devoted dad, loving husband, and dear friend, passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Jose was born in Durango, Mexico, and moved to the United States with a determination to build a better life.
Jose worked incredibly hard throughout his life, always making sure his family was well taken care of. His dedication to his work was something to admire, and he never shied away from putting in the long hours to provide for those he loved.
Beyond work, Jose's heart belonged to his family, friends and rock & roll music. His passion for music was contagious. Whether he was sharing his favorite songs with his kids and friends or going to concerts, music was a big part of who he was. His home was always filled with the sounds of classic rock, creating joy that we’ll all miss. He loved making his friends and family laugh and remembering things they liked so he could surprise them with it. He welcomed everyone with open arms and made many feel like family.
Jose leaves behind his loving wife, Irma, his two daughters, Monique and Julie, his son-in-law Karl and his beloved grandson Nick. He is also survived by his 5 brothers, 3 sisters and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves a legacy of kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for his family.
As we say goodbye, we celebrate Jose’s life filled with love, laughter, and rock & roll. His memory will always hold a special place in our hearts, and his spirit will continue to inspire us.
Rest easy, Jose. Your song will play on forever.
