Lawrence "Lencho" Hernandez, 83, of Chino, passed away September 18, 2013 at home. He was born January 18, 1930 in Chino and was a lifelong resident. Lawrence was a truck driver for L & L Nursery for 22 years. A veteran of the armed forces, Lawrence served our country during the Korean conflict when he was a young man. He was a member of Upland Lighthouse. Lawrence is survived by his children Manuel Hernandez, Sammy Hernandez, Becky Hernandez and Anita Martinez Hernandez; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Eddie Hernandez, daughter Toni Hernandez and wife Rose Hernandez. Visitation hours will be 9:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m, Friday, September 27, 2013 at Pierce Brothers Griffith Mortuary in Chino with funeral services beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona.
