

Margie Van Leeuwen, 96, of Ontario, passed away February 17, 2010 in Upland, CA. She was born February 19, 1913 in the Netherlands and immigrated to California in1930. She was a resident of the Chino Valley for 52 years. Margie and her husband ,Arie, were active in the dairy business in Chino and in Norwalk. She was also an active member of Chino Valley Reformed Church/The Bridge. Margie will be remembered for her hospitality, encouragement, strong faith and love of her Lord and family. She has been acknowledged as a gifted spiritual leader of many Bible Studies and church associations, leading them until the last year of her life. She is survived by her children: Cathy (Dale) Bush of Huntington Beach, Bill (Delores) Van Leeuwen of Corona, Arlan (Joan) Van Leeuwen of Oakdale, Jerry (Kathy) Van Leeuwen of Escondido, Jeanie (Danny) Vanderham of Wendell, Idaho,18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Also, sisters Anna Vander Meulen of Ripon, CA and Irene Klein of Montezuma, Ariz. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday February 21, at The Bridge in Chino. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m., Monday, February 22, at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at The Bridge in Chino. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be given to The Bridge to establish the new Hospitality Center.
