Paul came to know the Lord early in his life. At the age of 12, he was baptized at Old Concord Church in Bentonia, MS. When he moved to California, he joined True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church.
His early education began in Bentonia. The family relocated to Jackson, MS in 1948 where he continued his education and graduated from Lanier High School. He went on to Langston University in Oklahoma.
In 1959, Paul moved to Los Angeles, California. He began his career at UCLA and later joined McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, where he worked until 1974.
In 1963, he met and fell in love with Maxine Postell. They married on September 5, 1964. In December 1965, their only child, a daughter, Danielle Christine was born.
In 1974, he joined Northrop Aircraft, where he worked until his retirement in 1994. His hard work and dedication earned him numerous awards and promotions.
Paul loved shooting pool with friends and family. He also loved to barbeque for them. He also loved his Corvettes, but his true "hobby" was work. One only needs to cruise his and other neighborhoods to witness his masonry work.
In 1976, the family moved to Chino, California, where he lived until he quietly left us on Saturday morning, November 12, 2011.
Paul was much loved by everyone he knew. Even though he was quite opinionated, that quiet manner still came through. His passing will leave a void that cannot be filled. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Maxine and Danielle; a brother and sister-in-law, Lois and Doris Chambers, Jackson, MS, and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria del angel Pierce Brothers Griffith, Chino, CA.
