

Ruben Espinoza Martinez, 82 years of age passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 peacefully at Home in Chino Hills surrounded by his beloved family. He was born March 4, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. Ruben has been a Chino resident of 14 years and a previous Hacienda Heights resident of 25 years. He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker Local #105 at Meadows Sheet Metal for 41 years before his retirement in June 1996. Ruben graduated from Garfield High School in 1953 and also attended East Los Angeles College where he received his Associates Degree. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army from 1953-1955. Ruben was a Parishioner at St. John Vianney in Hacienda Heights and then in Chino Hills at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years Carmen Martinez whom passed away September 12, 2014. He is survived by his beloved children; Patricia Marero, Gina Kleeburg (Richard) and Dina J. Potter (Jim). Left to cherish his memory are his adoring grandchildren; Dominic Marero , Tricia Marero , Daryl Marero, Carley Potter, Colby Potter, Cassidy Potter, Jacob Kleeburg, Megan Kleeburg and great grandson Carson James Saber. A Rosary will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Pierce Brothers Griffith in Chino. A Funeral Mass Monday, June 27, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills with Interment 2:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello. Contributions may be made In Memory of Ruben E. Martinez to Wounded Warrior Project or Veterans of Foreign Wars. A Ceremony for the Wounded Warrior Corporation will have a ceremony in July in Temecula and checks can be taken at that time by the family.
