Stan was born January 4, 1935 in Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin to Hazel and Mitchell Dack. He graduated from Downers Grove High School in Illinois and attended North Central College. Stan met his wife Doris Bengard in high school and they were wed on June 30, 1956. Stan and Doris had three children together – Thomas, Victoria, and Stephen. They moved as a family to California in 1968 to be close to Doris’s family. After moving to California Stan and Doris had a fourth child, David. Stan and Doris were divorced in 1974. Stan then met Rae Lee Battles and they were wed on February 13, 1975. Stan and Rae Lee had two daughters – Jeri and Sara. Stan was employed by the United States Postal Service for 37 years in total in both Illinois and California. After retiring from the Post Office, Stan worked as a driver for Pomona Fairplex, a manager at Aampco Airport Parking, and a driver at Hillcrest Retirement Home.
Stan was a very active man and held many interests. He loved music and played trumpet throughout most of his life starting in high school – always holding first chair. He loved to travel and took many family trips whether to Illinois with Doris and their children or camping with Rae Lee and their children. Stan was a member of Chino United Methodist Church and was very active with the choir and other committees and groups. Stan and Rae Lee were part of the Calico Rompers a square-dancing group and the Outhouse Gang a camping group. Stan loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren – attending many sporting events and band recitals. Stan always had a smile and joke or kind words to share with whoever he met.
