March 23, 1966 – June 10, 2025
Betty Hinman, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2025. Born on March 23, 1966, Betty brought warmth, laughter, and chaos into the lives of everyone she met.
Betty lived a hard life and faced many battles that took a toll on her, especially in the past year. But through it all, she remained fiercely loving to all she was around.
She is survived by her mother, Vernie Redding; her brother, Donald “DJ” Turner (wife Denise Turner) her sisters, Starla Basler (husband Anthony Basler) and Patricia Sandoval (husband Aaron Sandoval); her children, Latha Ewing (husband Travis Monk), Nicole Blanton (husband Shane Blanton), and her son, Jonathan Rascon; and all of her grandchildren Jacob, AJ, Emma, Ryder, Jace, Ayden, Mara, Briley, and Luke. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Benny Hinman, who she now joins in eternal peace.
Betty was known for her generous heart, her love for her grandchildren, and her wild spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A celebration of Betty’s life will take place on Monday, June 16, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at Oddfellows Park (next to the Little League field in Dos Palos). Friends and family are warmly invited to join us in sharing memories, honoring her beautiful life, and enjoying lunch together.
