Cresto Velasco Jr., age 45, of Fresno, California passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Cresto was born March 14, 1976 to Maria Coronado and Benancio "Benny" Garza.

Cresto was a loving husband, father, brother and son. Cresto was a mentor for the Grizzly Youth Academy, where he mentored Fabian and Nathan Garcia. He enjoyed working for Walmart in Madera and Fresno for 16 years. Cresto was a friend to many.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cresto is survived by his wife of 16 years, Gabriela Curiel, his son Joey Velasco, daughter Valerie Velasco, mother-in-law Rachel Garcia, father-in-law Gabriel Curiel, brothers David Coronado, Benito Garza, Michael Garza, Arturo Garza, Isabel Garza, Benny Garza, Johnny Garza, sisters Maria Shukri, Juanita Garza, Evelyn Torres, sister-in-laws Marsha Padilla, Liz Negrete, Lucy Montano, brother-in-laws Jose Garcia, Chris Maya, goddaughters Briana Herrera, Jenicia Montano, his godsons Ayden Garza-Maya, Joshua Montano, and many nieces and nephews.

Cresto was preceded in death by his father Benancio "Benny" Garza, mother Maria Coronado and his brother Angel Garza.

Due to Covid-19 the family is asking for everyone to please wear a mask.
