Donald was a resident of Chowchilla for 78 years and worked as a truck driver for 50 years. He was also an ordained Minister. Donald served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Hester; son, Brian Hester; and brother, Charles Hester.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Hester; son, Michael Loyd Hester and his wife Donna, Dennis Neal, Jimmy Neal, and Gary Lee Neal; daughters, Debra Hester and Wendy Kutleitner and husband Mike; sisters, Sarah Rose, Betty Jo Hensley, and Jeanie McAbee; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chowchilla First Assembly of God, 317 Orange Avenue, Chowchilla, CA
