Donna Ruth Bennett (Wheeler), 78, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on August 18, 1947, to Donald Harold Wheeler and Aberta Irene Wheeler(Parks), both of Pennsylvania and who preceded her in death.
Donna was also preceded in death by her sister Linda O’Donnell of New York. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Bennett; her children, Douglas Stiles of San Diego, California, Kevin Stiles of Madera, California, Erin Dietrich of Kingman, Arizona; and her stepdaughter, Christina Alarcon of Chowchilla, California. She is also survived by her sister, Terrie Lawrence of New York, her brothers, Ron Wheeler of Germany, Tom Wheeler, and David Wheeler of New York. Donna was a cherished grandmother to Brian, Taylor, Jonathan, Ryan, Evan, and Gavin all of whom brought her great joy.
Donna devoted much of her working life to serving others. For many years, she provided compassionate care to the elderly in nursing homes, bringing comfort and dignity to those in their later years. She also served as a records manager at Valley State Prison, where her professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic were greatly respected.
Donna will be remembered for her love of singing, compassionate heart, her dedication to serving others, and her overflowing love for her family. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
