Dorothy Lee (Lucas) Esteves was born on April 11, 1940 in Chowchilla, CA and passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 25, 2015 in Chowchilla, CA at the age of 75.

Dot retired after 15 years of service as a Custodian for the Chowchilla Union High School. After retiring she began to focus more on her enjoyments of life such as gardening, animals but most of all being with her family.

Dot was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Don Harris; parents, Ruby and John Lucas; and brothers, Leroy, Roger and David Lucas.

She leaves behind her children, Dolores, Johnny and Ricky Esteves; grandchildren, Samantha Edwards, Jonathan, Austin, Tyler and Trent Esteves, and Justin Jaccard; great grandson, Bentley Major; Sisters, Pat Cook and Jessie Smith; brother, James Lucas; her dogs, Shadow and Abby and numerous family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Chowchilla Cemetery, 23359 Rd 14 ½, Chowchilla, CA 93610 on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10am. Following graveside services there will be a Reception at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel Reception Room, 140 S 6th St., Chowchilla, CA 93610. The reception will be a Pot Luck, anyone wishing to provide a dish please contact Misty Sabado at (559)665-3012.
