Elizabeth Mary Acree was born on May 27, 1926 to Gustav and Elisabeth Wolfshorndl. She passed away on April 10, 2018. She was married to Robert B. Acree and was a devoted housewife and mother. She worked as a custodian for the First Baptist Church of Chowchilla, California for many years. Elizabeth was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church until her marriage; she then became a member of the First Baptist Church and Cornerstone Community Church. She also had memberships with the Eastern Star, Odd Fellows/Rebekahs and Rolling Amigos RV Group.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Robert B. Acree and her parents Gustav and Elisabeth Wolfshorndl. She is survived by her children Robert (Amy) Acree of Chowchilla, California and Linda M. (Dan) Matthias of San Luis Obispo, California; her brother John G. (Glenda) Wolfshorndl of Chowchilla, California; along with 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation for Elizabeth on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, located at 140 S. 6th Street, Chowchilla, CA, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. A funeral service will follow on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church located at 208 Fig Tree Rd, Chowchilla, CA. Interment will follow service at Chowchilla District Cemetery.
