Glen previously lived in St. Louis, Missouri and Mesa, Arizona. After graduation he attended college, where he received his Associates degree in Broadcast Journalism. Glen loved being a DJ, and for several years worked for KTOM out of Salinas, CA. He then pursued his career in pastry distributing and operated Brownie Baker for many years.
In 2005, Glen decided that Chowchilla would be a great place for his family, and they made this city their home. Glen became very active in the community. In 2012, he began coaching the Farmers Insurance Little League team, and most recently for the Chowchilla High School Varsity Baseball team. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, but his favorite part of baseball was watching his son Daniel play.
Glen was an active Director for the Chowchilla District Chamber of Commerce and Chowchilla Rotary Club. Glen loved Chowchilla and did all he could to make everyone’s world better.
In 2012, Glen became a funeral arranger and worked for Palm Memorial Worden Chapel in Chowchilla and Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home in Merced. He was very dedicated to the families he served and was committed to serving them with all of his heart.
Glen was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Beaird; brother, Bill Beaird, and grandmother, Freda Cissell.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Michelle Beaird; son, Daniel Beaird; mother, Olive Beaird of Mesa, Arizona; and sister, Carla Hulseweh and her husband Terry of Gilbert, Arizona.
A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chowchilla High School Baseball Field, 805 Humboldt Avenue, Chowchilla, CA.
Due to Glen’s love for baseball, the family is requesting that you wear your favorite baseball or Chowchilla Tribe Apparel.
“For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out, at the old ball game.”
