

Hazel Pimentel was born on September 27, 1921 in Cleveland, OH and passed away on July 18, 2015 in Madera, CA at the age of 93. During WWII, Hazel was a Battery Worker at a factory. She married, Ernest Pimentel on June 3, 1943. They moved to Chowchilla in 1946. She lived in Chowchilla all of her remaining life. They had 3 children, David, Donald and Mary and 1 grandson, David Jr. She worked as a cook at the Chowchilla Convalescent Hospital. In 1985, she was on the California State Lottery Show. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; sons, David and Donald; parents, Arthur and Alice Rogers; stepmother, Mary Rogers; brothers, Harold and Arthur Rogers and sisters, Genevieve Kramer and Bertha Kostochryz. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Pimentel; grandson, David Pimentel Jr.; sister, Shirley Young; brother, Melvin Rogers and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 S 6th St, Chowchilla, CA 93610 on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4-8pm with Graveside services on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Chowchilla Cemetery at 11am. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
