Daniel Muñoz

Daniel Muñoz passed peacefully on March 11, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by love and grace.

Born on July 2, 1951, Daniel was a man of quiet strength and deep compassion. He dedicated his life to the simple joys that brought meaning to each day: a well-cooked meal, the sound of the ocean, and the company of those he held dear. After attending college, Daniel followed his passion into the culinary arts, building a fulfilling career as a chef. His kitchen was a place of laughter, comfort, and generosity—every dish a reflection of his care for others.

Daniel found his greatest peace at the beach. Whether walking along the shoreline at sunrise or sitting quietly with the waves, he felt at home near the water. It was there, in nature’s rhythm, that he often said he felt closest to God.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Lucia and Rafael Muñoz; his sister, Elena Muñoz; and a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and extended family who were touched by his warmth, humility, and gentle presence.

A visitation for Daniel will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dignity Memorial Funeral Home, 123 Atlantic Ocean Ave, Sterling, Georgia. A memorial service will follow on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

Daniel will be laid to rest at Dignity Memorial Beach of Peace, 111 Breezeway Dr, St. Simons Island, GA, in the Garden of Angels—where the sea meets the sky and love endures forever.
