STORIES FROM HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY...
Stephon Staley (Son) :
Ramblings of an introverted hermit
Today is a very sad day for me as I reminisce on past thoughts and feelings.
I aversely sit here and contemplate.
I have realized that each recollection of a thought, is a generalized goodbye. And, I pause, feel warm and continue forward.
My thoughts on this gentle beast……
Although ahead of his time, I was never able to congratulate him on earning both his wings and freedom. Although selfish at the time. I wanted no more than this titan to rise and again be by my side leading, smiling, or cooking azure berry pancakes.
These thoughts motivated the tears to slowly creep down my cheeks.
As I think back on my life in the depths of Tartarus this monstrosity never let me down.
He always showed me how truly to be hard-working, extremely intelligent and when it was time to help me spiritually and mentally through action showed me how to hold up against the boot of Hades.
Through these same actions he was always persistent, unyielding, and a titan among other beasts.
In the support of a child that was not biologically his, he showed that there were no mortals who occupied the red bricks of the main structure I lived in who could recede to his idiom.
I write, not in pain or despair but in testament! Papa Gerry was a torrential fountain of wisdom, a forgiving man, an authority in delicate affairs, and a leader to those under and around him.
I wish I could tell him that, I did learn.
He taught me. As I take charge of my life and grow and change, more will be expected of me, more will be demanded of me; not because he taught me to be a primordial being, but because he taught me the true definition of man, father, husband, leader, and king.
I thank him for all that he has given.
And, finally you are forever missed in this realm, but this is not a goodbye.
This is an “UNTIL NEXT TIME.”
