Barbara Russell (Hinton), beloved mother to Eddie [43], and wife to Robert [69], passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 10th after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
She was born and raised in Circleville, Ohio in 1960 to Joanne Martin and Richard [Dick] Hinton. She was a graduate of Circleville High School and spent many years as a familiar face managing Dairy Mart on Lancaster Pike and North Court Street, and Sally’s Beauty Supply in Circleville.
Barb was a devoted mother to Eddie, her pride and joy. She always wanted to be a mother and Eddie coming into the world changed her life for the better, and he most certainly felt that in the love and support she provided.
Barb took special joy in playing cards, being with family, taking care of her fur babies, crime shows and was a fantastic cook. She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father, stepfather Earl Martin, stepbrothers Forrest [Fotty] and Mark Martin, stepsisters Shirley McKinley, Linda Martin, Sharon Anderson, Tina Dean, and dear friend Lori Weaver. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Robert, son Eddie, sisters Bertha Holbrook [Jimmy], Bonnie [Jim] Boyer, Beverly [Elvis] Largent, brother Earl [Pete] Martin, and many stepsiblings, nieces and nephews who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Family will accept friends on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm noon at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger, 151 E Main St, Circleville, OH. A Graveside service will follow at Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in Barbara’s name to OhioHealth’s Kobacker House/HomeReach Hospice at https://www.ohiohealth.com/ohiohealth-foundation/giving-options. We’d like to thank all of the hospice care team that’s taken such amazing care of Barbara over the last few years.
