

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathy (Weaver) Dowler, a beloved mother, dedicated preschool teacher and a cherished member of her family and community. She passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2025, Kathy was 65.
Kathy was born in Circleville, Ohio on April 8th, 1959, she was the daughter of Robert and Pattie Weaver. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Butch Dowler, they celebrated 44 loving years together. Kathy will also be lovingly remembered by her daughter Hannah (Dowler) McComas and her son-in-law Peyton McComas. Kathy was also a loving sister to Robert Weaver (Heather Fisher). And a wonderful sister-in-law to Teresa (Tim) Jones, Karen (Roger) Jones, Jim (Myra) Dowler, and had many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family members. Kathy was predeceased by her parents and her sister Jennifer Weaver, and her sister-in-law Kathy Dowler.
Kathy spent nearly 30 years as a beloved teacher, nurturing and inspiring the young minds she taught. Her kindness, patience and dedication shaped generations of children. She leaves behind a legacy of love and learning.
Kathy’s love of nature brought peace to her soul, and she found great joy in spending time outdoors. Kathy also had a deep passion for creativity, she spent most of her time sewing, baking and creating art.
A giving and compassionate person, Kathy was involved with her community, always looking for ways to lend a helping hand. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special and valued, she was known for her kindness and generosity.
Above all Kathy was a woman of deep faith. Her love for GOD and her unwavering belief in his goodness were at the core of everything she did. She found strength in knowing she was always protected and safe no matter what life would bring. Her family was her greatest joy, and she shared a special, close bond with her loved ones that will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held March 21st, 2025, from 5 to 8pm at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor her beautiful life, sharing stories and celebrating the incredible woman she was and the positive impact she made. And as always, Kathy would say, GO BUCKS!
A Graveside service will be held at a later date at Tarlton Cemetery.
