Peggy J Stump

Peggy was born on April 3, 1931 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Russell and Dora (Manson) Carmean. She worked at Brooks-Yates School for Developmental Disabilities until she retired in 1991. Family was the most important part of her life. She was married to Charles Jones in January 1952 until his death in 1980. They raised two children and shared a remarkable life. Following his death, Peggy married Lloyd Stump in July 1985. They shared many adventures and travels until his death in 2013. Later in life, she moved to Pickaway Manor Apartments. In 2023, she moved to assisted living at The Ashford in Grove City.

Peggy is survived by her children, Kenneth Charles “KC” Jones of Deadwood, SD and Cathy Jones (Steve) Smith of Grove City, OH; her step-children, Gary (Shawn) Stump of Laurelville, OH and Patti Stump (Tod) White of Chillicothe, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Patsy Carmean McLaughlin of Longboat Key, FL; and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00am at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger, 151 E. Main St, Circleville, OH with Rev. Ty Myers officiating. Peggy will be laid to rest next to Charles at Imler Cemetery.
