

Sanford was born on July 5, 1935 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Edward and Olive Edler. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from DuPont after 34 years of service. He was a proud member of the AM Vets.
Sanford was a loving and caring husband, dad, and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family, especially family cookouts. He loved his grandchildren and spoiling them any chance he got. Sanford loved wood working and put many intricate designs in his craftmanship, especially seen in his tables, cuckoo clocks and wall decorations. He loved to travel around the United States with Jenny. Their many adventures and travels included civil war sites, river cruises and National Parks.
In addition to his parents, Sanford is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mabel Edler; and his siblings, Clarence Edler, Glenda Leedy and Janet Dalrymple.
Sanford is survived by his wife, Jenny Edler; his children, Terri, Jack (Bonnie) and John; his grandchildren, E.J., Harley, and Sadie; his siblings, Jack (Karen) Edler and Cindy Miller; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St, Circleville. A Funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00am. Sanford will be laid to rest at Jackson Township Cemetery.
