Virginia "Ginny" Swoyer

Virginia "Ginny" Swoyer, age 94, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 21, 2024. Born to Carl and Alice (Barr) Valentine, Ginny was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Ronald Swoyer; her siblings Richard "Dick" Valentine, Theda (Dwight) Collins, and Carl Valentine, Jr. She is survived by her children, Randall (Corinna) Swoyer and Cheryl Swoyer; her grandchildren Jason and Nicholas Huffer, Courtney (Ryan) Hart, and Hannah Harvey; and her great-grandchildren Jack, Lyla, Kennedy, Harper Hart, Cadence, and Neo Huffer. A long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Berger Hospital Guild, Ginny enjoyed making crafts, cooking, and had a distinguished career as a bookkeeper at Scharff’s Fashion while also working at Murphy's, Leach Motors, as well as serving as a Teacher's Aide with Circleville Schools. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, OH. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Interment will be at Forest Cemetery.
