He was born on Dec. 1, 1940 at Geff, IL to Ernest & Wanda (Tubbs) Clevenger. He married Judy Beck in May, 1983 at Fairfield, IL
James retired from the United States Postal Service at Centralia, IL. He also served for 22 months in Vietnam as an Army Airborne soldier. He was in the service for a total of 12 ½ years.
James is survived by his wife Judy of Cisne, IL and also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister Darlene and his parents.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. There will be no visitation.
