Jess Danny Daniel Williams Jr.

He was born December 3, 1932 at Oilton, OK to Jess D. and Otha E. (Casey) Williams, Sr. He married Ruth E. Atteberry January 2, 1954 at Enterprise, IL.

Jess, Jr. retired as Master Sergeant from the US Air Force having served twenty years from 1952 – 1972 in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. After military retirement he worked for NASA and GE and later farmed and worked for Gill’s Excavating. He loved golfing, fishing, and hunting.

Jess was a member of Mt. Erie Ruritan Club for many years. He rededicated his life to Christ in July.

Jess, Jr. is survived by his wife Ruth Williams of Mt. Erie, IL; two daughters Deborah Jordan (& her husband John) of North Carolina and Carolynn Gilbert (& her husband Dwain) of Waltonville, IL; one son Jeffery Williams (& his wife Gail) of Mt. Erie, IL; two brothers Leonard ‘Leon’ Williams (& his wife Valerie) of Macon, GA and Jackie Dale Williams (& his wife Jeanne) of Springdale, AR. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive..

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Jess D. Williams, Jr. will be 11AM Thursday, Nov. 10th at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cisne Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 5-7PM at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted at the graveside.

Memorials in memory of Jess D. Williams, Jr. may be given to Hospice of Southeastern IL or the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
