Mary 'Pat' Bookhout

Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, Mt. Vernon, IL.

Pat was born June 27, 1941 at Centralia, IL to Deryl and Mary Helen (Dalton) Barry. She married Ronald L. Bookhout April 26, 1958 at First United Methodist Church in Salem, IL. She was a homemaker and babysitter and helped in the funeral home. Pat also volunteered in the nursing home at Decatur, IL and Oil Belt Christian Service Camp at Flora, IL. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat was a member of Cisne Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband Ron Bookhout of Cisne, IL; one daughter Ronda Lowe (& her husband Kevin) of Cisne, IL; four sons Mike Bookhout (& his wife Angie) of Centralia, IL; Jim Bookhout of Sandoval, IL; Richard Bookhout (& his wife Marina) of Cisne, IL and Kevin Bookhout (& his wife Trish) of Olney, IL; two sisters Carol Smith (& her husband Kenny) of Salem, IL and Jody Seymour (& her husband Glenn) of Vonore, TN. Thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive and special friends Jerry and Helen Bullard of Cisne, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents and step father Joe Prelec.

Funeral Services for Pat Bookhout will be 2:00PM Sunday March 25, 2012 at Cisne Christian Church. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7PM Saturday at the Hosselton Funeral Home and 1-2PM Sunday at the church.

Memorials may be given to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp or Pine Haven Christian Children’s Ranch.
