Mary Edith Simpson

Mary Edith was born on October 31, 1929 in Johnsonville to Henry and Ella (Galbraith) Weaver. She married Dale Simpson in Johnsonville on August 23, 1947 and he survives.

Mary Edith is survived by her husband, Dale of Cisne; daughters, Dianne (David) Allen and Judy Holroyd of Cisne; a son, Donnie (Erica) Simpson of Cisne; a sister, Aldene Wertz of Brentwood, TN; Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a special caregiver, Fay Hedden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ronnie Simpson, sister Elaine Land and son-in-law, Blane Holroyd.

Mary Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services to be held at noon, Saturday March 11, 2017 at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, IL. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of the service. Family would like to encourage everyone to dress casually. Burial to be held at the Johnsonville Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Clay County Hospice or Lebanon North CP Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
