Philip Lee Lowe

Philip was born May 13, 1925 at Cisne, IL to Clarence and Sarah (Pennington) Lowe. He married Betty E. Perry January 22, 1946 in Wayne County, IL. She preceded him in death July 14, 1978.

Philip was a farmer and a member of Round Prairie General Baptist Church, Cisne, IL. He served in the Marines during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.

He is survived by his companion Wilma Lowe of Rinard, IL; two daughters Sharon Peddicord (& her husband Steve) of Johnsonville, IL; Phyllis Braddock (& her husband Rex) of Wayne City, IL; one son Paul Lowe (& his wife Cindy) of Cisne, IL; one daughter-in-law Shirley Lowe of Rinard, IL; two sisters Evelyn Weaver (& her husband Dwight) of Cisne, IL and Dorothy Hicks of Cisne, IL. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren – Janeanann Peddicord Rawls, Dana Peddicord Dickey, Brent Peddicord, Kevin Lowe, Kim Lowe Hosick, Tammy Lowe Flexter, Bobby Braddock, Philip Keith Braddock, Jessica Lowe Lane, Christopher Lowe and Hannah Lowe; twenty-eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife Betty, one son Perry, one great grandson Jamie, one brother Clifford, two sisters Faithie and Donna, and his parents.

Funeral services for Philip Lowe will be 11AM Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Round Prairie General Baptist Church with burial at Round Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8PM Monday, October 24, 2011 at the funeral home and 10-11AM Tuesday at the church. There will be full military rites at the cemetery.

Memorials in memory of Philip Lowe may be given to Round Prairie General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
