

She was born July 18th, 1928 in Fairfield, Illinois a daughter of Philip and Sadie (Lyons) Redd. She married James Nation and he preceded her in death in 1991. She taught school in the Fairfied, IL. and Granite City, IL. areas for several years. She worked at the St. Louis City Library until 2010.
She is survived by a Sister-in-law Doris Redd of Cisne, Illinois; Niece Mary (Charles) Knight of Flora, IL; Nephew Richard(Joyce) Murphy of Salem, IL; Great Nieces Crystal (Phillip) Cruse of Flora, IL; Cathy (Christopher) Henry of Augusta, GA; Mandy Murphy and Fiancée Tony Jaynes of Salem, IL; Special Care Givers Mike Burge of the Burge House, Tina Castillo, Nicole Logan, Jasmone Lopez, Nancy Shadle, Tammy Harper, Alberta Bridges and Jamie Willis.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lavina and twin brother Philip Redd.
Graveside services for Phyllis K. Nation will be 11am Wednesday April 10th, 2013 at the Victory Cemetery Fairfield, Illinois. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Tuesday April 9th, 2013 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, Illinois.
Memorials to Flora Library and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
