Russel Pennington

Russel was born August 23, 1946 in Kentucky to Everett and Betty (Hall) Pennington. He married Angela McGivney November 16, 1974 at Louisville, IL.

Russel worked at World Color Press in Salem, IL for twenty-three years and then retired from North American Lighting in Flora, IL. He was an active member and trustee at Providence General Baptist Church in Johnsonville, IL.

Russel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Angela Pennington of Xenia, IL; daughter and son-in-law Andrea and Caleb Shelby and two grandchildren Lydia and Jackson Shelby all of West Salem, IL. He is also survived by his mother Betty Pennington of Johnsonville, IL; two brothers Bill (Lois) Pennington of Johnsonville, IL and Gary (Kim) Pennington of Flora, IL; three sisters Peggy (Danny) Johnson and Barbara (Leon) Johnson both of Keenes, IL; and Arlene (Fred) Osborn of Johnsonville, IL.

Preceding him in death were a son Rick, his father Everett, and a brother Ronnie.

Funeral services for Russel Pennington will be 11AM Saturday at Hosselton Funeral Home with burial in Cisne Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Providence General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
