Betty Ann Keziah Rippy, age 81, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at her home in Clayton, North Carolina. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 23, 1944, she was a daughter to the late Payne and Velma Keziah.
Betty and her beloved husband Frank shared an inseparable bond that only death could separate. Their hard work and dedication led them to own a Waffle House franchise in Charlotte, North Carolina where they raised their family. Betty and Frank also owned a bingo business for a short time in Louisville, Kentucky, before relocating to Garden City, South Carolina, where they resided for over 20 years. While living at the beach, Betty served tables at Sea Captains house for 25 years. Betty, with a servants heart, loved waitressing. Betty loved to make someone’s day through laughter, telling jokes, and giving back to others. With a true shop til you drop mentality, Betty could shop all day and loved to find a bargain! Betty will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1000 SC-544, Conway, SC 29526. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the chapel, just prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
