Charlotte Truelove Jones, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on Friday morning, September 12th, 2025. Charlotte was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on August 30th, 1932, to the late Clarence Truelove and Lugenia Holmes Truelove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Eskridge Jones, sister, Audrey Benson, and brother, Theodore Truelove.
She is survived by her four children, Susan Jones, Sheree Vaughan (Joseph), Philip Jones (Tamara), Beth Jones; six grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
A visitation for Charlotte will be held Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, North Carolina. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 17th, at 2pm at Hocutt Baptist Church, 320 West Horne Street, Clayton, North Carolina 27520.
An internment will occur at Maplewood Cemetery, Highway 70, Clayton, North Carolina.
