A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 17, 2021 at Cross Assembly Church, 2660 Yonkers Road, Raleigh, North Carolina with inurnment following at 2:00 PM at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Sanford, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2021 at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, North Carolina.
Charlotte was born in Lee County on March 12, 1946 to the late Wilson Tyson and the late Evelyn Coley Tyson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an older brother Harry and a younger brother Eddie.
She was a retired customer service representative with the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles with over 30 years of service. She was active with her church and enjoyed serving with the youth.
She is survived by her brother, Tim Tyson of Jacksonville, NC; nephews and nieces, Christopher Vance, Matthew Allen, Leslie Beal; and special friend, Janice Allen.
