Chris was born in Shelby, North Carolina on September 7, 1958 to the late Kenneth Ray Denton and the late Nannette Roberson Denton.
Chris enjoyed taking care of the many birds in his yard and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by one daughter, Christy Canupp; sisters, Delores Carter, Pamela Branch and Robin Lee. He has 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
