Dawn Marie Reid

A funeral service will be held 12 noon on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends immediately prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

She was born in Washington, DC on April 9, 1961.

Dawn was previously employed as an executive assistant with the office of management for the state of Maryland department of FDA. She enjoyed her dogs Scarlette and Ashely, grandchildren, the beach, Mannings restaurant in Clayton, taking naps and just relaxing at home watching TV with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Reid of the home; parents, Donna and Jimmy Griffis of Olney, Maryland; children, Dane Ward of Tampa, Florida, Lance Martin and Lydia Martin of Greenville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Nash Martin and Callie Rose Martin; and brother, Chad Griffis of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
