Deborah Hickman

Born August 30th, 1961 in Aurora, Nebraska, she was the eldest daughter of Bruce Allan Stong and Betty Jo Waggoner. Throughout her life, Debbie experienced many different chapters and paths that shaped who she was.

Debbie was known for her beautiful smile, her kind heart and her contagious laugh. She had a true green thumb which was evident by their bountiful vegetable garden and the many thriving houseplants bringing life to her and Greg’s home. She enjoyed spending quality time watching fixer upper shows and supervising Greg as he completed the tasks on her “honey do list”.

Debbie is survived by her husband and one true love, Gregory McKinney Hickman; her children - Jason Prior and his long time partner Carey Leapaldt, and Chelsea Deese and her husband Brandon Florkey; her step-children - Edward Hickman and his wife Cindy, Christopher Hickman and his wife Samantha, and Justin Hickman; her grandchildren - Colt and Lila Deese, and Isabella Hickman; her mother - Betty Jo Waggoner and her siblings - Allan Stong, Kevin Stong and Christina Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Allan Stong and her step-father Walter Harry Waggoner.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in the coming weeks.

The family appreciates the thoughts and support of those who knew her. May the memories shared over the years bring moments of reflection and peace.
