A private mausoleum entombment will be held with the family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, North Carolina.
He was born in Johnston County on July 10, 1941 to the late Wilson Young Jones and the late Mayme Spence Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Chester (CW) Jones, Raymond Jones, and sister Mabel Jones Meacombs.
He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed telling a good joke. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Janice Faye Duncan Jones; sister Barbara Jones Price (Ed); sisters-in-law Helen Jones and Barbara Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
