Beloved husband of Brenda Langman (née Sprague), Elliot was the loving father of Robyn Roche and Marnie Langman-Richardson (Mark Richardson), and the devoted and doting grandfather to Amy Roche and Maya Langman-Richardson. He was also a treasured cousin of Robert Hogan.
A proud alumnus of Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Elliot went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career spanning over five decades as a new product development and design engineer and procurement manager. His work took him across the globe and reflected his dedication to innovation and excellence.
Elliot's adventurous spirit led him to pursue thrill-seeking endeavours such as skydiving, sailing the English Channel, safaris in Kenya, attending Carnival in Rio, and running with the bulls in Pamplona. To the relief of his wife and daughters, he engaged in more benign diversions like reading, golfing, cooking, completing the New York Times crossword puzzle in ink, and savoring a tawny Port. Elliot was also a keen music enthusiast with a deep appreciation for rock and jazz.
In the early 1990s, Elliot relocated to North Carolina for work and quickly became an integral part of his community. He served actively on his homeowners association board and held the role of president. Over time, he developed close bonds with neighbors and friends and regarded many as extended family.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to express its sincerest appreciation to the staff at UNC Health Johnston in Clayton, NC, for their compassionate care and support.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elliot's name may be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum or UNC Health Foundation, Cardiology Fund for Excellence, 349252.
