George Mack Lyons

A gathering of friends to celebrate George’s life will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, North Carolina.

He was born on September 13, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia to the late George Edwin Lyons and the late Virginia Ray Hickman Lyons.

He had formerly been employed as a truss builder for Shoffner Industries. Prior to his health complications, he enjoyed playing video games with his boys, listening to rock music, avid fan of the show “The Dukes of Hazzard”, enjoyed drag racing & fishing, watching Nascar on Sundays, taking trips to the beach and going on adventures in his cars.

George is survived by his three children, Shannah Lyons, Clint Lyons, and Jeremy Lyons; grandchildren, Cayden Lyons, Emmalynn Lyons, Mason Bush, Logan Holbrook, Jaxson Lyons; brothers and sisters, Tony Hickman and Tracy Lynn Lyons; nephews Tony Ray Hickman Jr and Billy Tyler; niece Kim Hickman Stone; and many cousins.
