Jackson graduated from McCallie Boarding School in Chattanooga, TN. He attended NC State University & graduated from Limestone College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1988. He spent his career working in various industries, but his final job was Quality Assurance at Eaton Corporation in Fayetteville, NC. It was here that he made many lifelong friends.
J had many interests in his lifetime including competitive swimming, spending time in nature, watching true crime documentaries, & being with his friends and family. At a young age, J immersed himself in the world of music & exhibited a natural talent for playing the drums. He was a phenomenal drummer & had an eclectic taste in music. He developed many friendships through his love of music. He thoroughly enjoyed playing music with his friends, old and new. Especially with his childhood friends, Bo Harden & Hudson Welch with whom he formed his first band, Montage.
He was known as the funniest person in the room & could make everyone laugh with his sarcasm, dry (& sometimes morbid) humor, & his smart-ass comments. He had a way of making any situation, even the bad ones humorous. Anyone who met J loved him & thought of him as a true friend.
Please join us for his Celebration of Life service and dress casually as he disliked formal wear and being uncomfortable.
